de Mondion has unveiled a new set of uniform accessories, created exclusively by Maltese designer Seffarrugia, marking a thoughtful extension of the restaurant’s commitment to heritage, craftsmanship, and local design.
Drawing from her existing design motifs, Seffarrugia worked closely with the de Mondion team to develop a custom colour palette that reflects the restaurant’s refined yet warm aesthetic. As part of the process, the team visited the designer’s studio in Rabat, where they were taken through the creative and production process, from concept and material selection to cutting, sewing, and finishing.
Each piece, including silk scarves, ties, and pocket squares, were personally crafted and sewn by the designer, Stephanie, reinforcing the handmade nature of the collection. With Seffarrugia based in Rabat and de Mondion located within the The Xara Palace Relais & Châteaux in Mdina, the collection is grounded not only in shared values but also in a shared sense of place.
Designed exclusively for de Mondion, the accessories are not seasonal additions but enduring details, with each piece reflecting a shared dedication to timeless elegance and Maltese identity. Careful attention was given to colour, texture, and form to ensure they complement both the uniforms and the restaurant’s refined aesthetic. The partnership reflects Xara Collection’s continued support of local creative talent and its dedication to weaving Maltese identity into every detail of the guest experience.
